PHNOM PENH, (Khmer Times) – Cambodia will host the World Economic Forum next year.
Philipp Rösler, managing director of the World Economic Forum, met with Prime Minister Hun Sen in Jakarta, Indonesia on Tuesday. He stated that
he wants Cambodia to host the World Economic Forum next year, and he would like the leaders of Myanmar and Laos to attend it.
Hun Sen responded with the statement that he not only wishes the attendance of Myanmar and Laos, but also of Thailand and Vietnam (all four are Ayeyawady-Chao Phraya-Mekong Economic Cooperation Strategy members, along with Cambodia) as well as other countries.
