Bhutan’s PM to visit India on Dec.27

THIMPHU (Xinhua) – Prime Minister of Bhutan Dr. Lotay Tshering has confirmed his visit to New Delhi, India on Dec. 27 at the invitation of Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

This is Dr. Tshering’s first foreign visit after assuming his post as the third democratically elected prime minister of Bhutan. His party, Druk Nyamrup Tshogpa became the ruling government after winning majority seats at the general election in September 2018.

He told media in Thimphu yesterday that it is a friendly visit, and he wanted to start his foreign visits starting with India, which he said, is important for Bhutan.
