Singapore prides itself as one of the most diverse nations in the world. A country that embraces different cultures, it has become a frequently visited destination for extravagant and colourful celebrations in Asia. As with many countries in the world, Christmas is one of the biggest celebrated festivals in the beautiful island city-state of Singapore.

As early as November, Singapore decks itself with festive vibes along its famous tourist spots – Orchard Road and the Gardens by the Bay. Malls and streets are decorated with vivid lights and gigantic installations that are bound to bring great joy to every visitor, not to mention all the Instagram-worthy spots one can find in these areas (this one’s for you, millennials!).

Christmas on A Great Street

Bringing Christmas joy and cheer between 10 November 2018 – 1 January 2019, Christmas on A Great Street presents a Disney themed Christmas, with Orchard Road decked up in beloved Disney characters and décor. This bustling street is divided into four zones, each representing a Disney theme, which we all know by heart – Disney Princesses, Mickey Mouse & Friends, Frozen and Toy Story. The life- size installations of these characters provide gorgeous photo opportunities for every Disney lover.

Look out for the Cinderella-themed mall decorations at Wheelock Place and a special Ariel photo spot at Shaw House. Also don’t miss Mickey Mouse, who’s celebrating his 90th anniversary this year and remember to join in the celebration outside Wisma. If you are looking for some chilly weather this Christmas, Orchard Central has transformed itself into the world of Frozen, completed with lights, decorations and of course, the favourite royal sisters, Princess Elsa and Anna. Disney Pixar’s Toy Story zone can be found by the Istana Park, decorated in festive lights with all-time favourites Woody, Buzz Light-year and more of your Toy Story pals.

Besides reliving your childhood memories and relishing in all the Disney-themed Christmas delights, Orchard Road is also offering visitors some exciting pop-up stores and the Great Christmas Village, which offers a variety of food that will get you in the festive mood, and guarantees to make your journey along the Great Street truly worthwhile.
