The Union of Youth Federations of Cambodia is holding a mass congress of youth organisations from throughout the Kingdom tomorrow in the capital.
A UYFC statement said that the meeting at the Sokha Hotel will discuss progress on work done by youth bodies to foster solidarity, peace and freedom in Cambodia.
The statement noted that the congress will be opened by Senate president Say Chhum today and closed by Prime Minister Hun Sen.
It said issues to be discussed include work done by youth organisations from 2012 to 2018 and projects planned from 2018 to 2023.
The statement noted that UYFC was formed in 2012 to replace the Cambodian Youth Association.
In 1992, the Cambodian Youth Association replaced the United Youth Association for National Salvation of Kampuchea, which was created on December 2, 1978, to help strengthen the nation’s independence, peace, freedom, democracy and social progress.
