Event Spotlight: Anime Festival

We’re all anime lovers, whether we admit it or not. There is just a kind of childlike bliss every time we see our favorite characters on television or when we wear anime costumes ourselves, and let these characters come to life through us. This is the very reason Anime Festival Asia continues to attract people from all over Southeast Asia and the world for a weekend of fun and fantasy every November.

Anime Festival Asia, also known as C3AFA, started in 2008. Traditionally held over a weekend in November, the festival features a series of anime conventions held in Southeast Asian countries, with the major convention held in Singapore.

This year, as the festival grows bigger and livelier, Singapore looks forward to welcoming hundreds of anime and manga lovers to this three-day celebration of Japanese pop culture, which has imprinted its creativity and fantasy on, visitors over the years.

Anime Festival 2018 will be held at Suntec Singapore Convention and Exhibition Centre. Dozens of exhibitors (NHK World, Manga de Japan and Kotobukiya, to name a few) will be showcasing their products and services to all Anime and Manga lovers coming to Akiba Town. Exhibitions will be open from 10 am to 8 pm on 30 November – 2 December 2018.

Aside from the fun inside the exhibition hall, a pay-to-watch stage will also be open for various all-star guest speakers and other content showcases by Eri Sasaki, Dear Kiss and more, from the homeland of Anime and Manga – Japan!

Additionally, running all three evenings, I Love Anisong concert will feature Japan’s top Anisong singers and a number of rising stars, completing the Anime Festival experience. Head down to Singapore for this unmissable and memorable event!
