RHB Indochina Bank Ltd has its history rooted in the existence of OSK Indochina Bank Ltd which came to Cambodia on October 20, 2008.

The merger between RHB Capital Bhd and OSK Investment Bank Bhd (OSKI), one of Malaysia’s leading stockbroking firm, was completed in 2013.

Today, RHB Indochina has 12 branches in Cambodia – eight in Phnom Penh and one each in Battambang, Siem Reap, Kampong Cham and Preah Sihanouk provinces.

OSK Indochina, which set up its main office at 263, Ang Duong St, to offer retail and commercial banking products and services, and foreign exchange and capital market consultation, was opened by National Bank of Cambodia (NBC) deputy governor Mr Tal Nay Im.

He was joined by OSKI chief executive officer Mr Ong Leong Huat, and OSK Indochina chairman Datuk Nik Mohamed Din, and senior officials from NBC.

Slightly more than a year later, OSK Indochina expanded its presence, opening up branches in City Mall Olympic, Stoeung Meanchey, Kbal Thnal and Pet Lok Song in Phnom Penh. NBC deputy governor Mr Neav Chanthana officiated the City Mall Olympic branch on Monireth St.

The bank also celebrated its first anniversary with a gala dinner at Nagaworld Hotel where then NBC governor Mr Chea Chanto was the guest of honour.

On November 5, 2010, OSK Indochina opened another four new branches, one each in the province of Kampong Cham, Battambang, Siem Reap and Preah Sihanouk.

NBC deputy director-general Mr Kim Vanda and Siem Reap province Governor officiated the opening of the Siem Reap branch.

On June 7, 2011, OSK Indochina established its securities company, OSK Indochina Securities Ltd that was opened by then Cambodian Deputy Prime Minister Keat Chhon.

On April, 2013, OSKI and RHB Capital in Malaysia successfully merged, transforming both OSK Indochina and OSK Indochina Securities into RHB Indochina and RHB OSK Indochina Securities, respectively.

RHB Indochina launched the `Little Kicks Big Difference’ football clinic that benefitted some 100 Cambodian children from Indochina Starfish Foundation at the KB-All Sports Club in Phnom Penh on September 5, 2014.
As part of its corporate social responsibility (CSR) programme, the bank donated 100 bicycles and stationery to underprivileged students on November 15, 2015.

The day saw RHB staff working together with the school headmaster, teachers, students and their parents to clean up the school compound to create a conducive learning environment.

On August 21, 2016, RHB built a preschool in Sa Ang Phnom, Kandal Province to house 30 children under its `Early Childhood Development School’ programme.

Some 30 students, 120 villagers and 100 RHB staff and partners took part in the event.

RHB was humbled by the community’s warm gratitude and hoped that its effort equipped the children with skills and tools necessary to succeed in future.

A lucky draw, ‘Moha Samnang Deposit Campaign’, was organised at Major Cineplex, AEON Mall on April 8, 2017 attracting the bank’s customers and their families, movie-goers, and RHB staff. The lucky draw saw 28 winners who walked away with numerous prizes including Kawasaki 125cc motorcycles, iPhone 7 and Samsung S7 Edge smartphones, Samsung LED 48” televisions, and the grand prize – Mazda 2 car.
