Kampong Chhnang provincial Camcontrol officials on Monday seized nearly 2,000  kilograms of expired drinks during a raid in Kampong Chhnang town.

A Camcontrol department statement released today said the officials, in collaboration with the local authorities, raided a market in Phsar Chhnang commune to check whether vendors were selling vegetables or seafood containing banned preservatives.

The statement said officials did not find any food containing preservatives but came across a total of 1,701 kilograms of packet drinks being sold past their expiry dates.
