WAPCOS HANDS OVER THE HYDROGRAPH NETWORK STATIONS TO CAMBODIA IN KONG PISEI & BASEDTH DISTRICTS OF KAMPONG SPEU PROVINCE

WAPCOS Limited, a Government of India Enterprise in coordination with Ministry of Water Resources and Meteorology, Kingdom of Cambodia organized Training and Capacity Building for continuation of ground water monitoring at established Hydrograph Network Stations in Kong Pisei & Basedth District under the project “Study of Groundwater Resources of Kampong Speu Province, Cambodia. WAPCOS Team after Training & Capacity Building handed over the Hydrograph Network Stations to Provincial Department of Water Resources and Meteorology for monitoring of ground water levels from established hydrograph network stations for maintaining the record of ground water levels for future development. The PDOWRAM officers appreciated the training & capacity building programs Conducted by WAPCOS at Hydrograph Stations.

The project Study of Groundwater Resources in Kong Pisei and Basedth district of Kampong Speu Province, Cambodia is a grant in aid project from Government of India. WAPCOS Limited a specialized agency in groundwater studies and development has been working over a span of more than 3 years and has carried out detailed studies, investigations and groundwater exploration and devised a mathematical model exclusive to the area. The model evaluated the water balance in the study area and positive results have paved way for planning ground water management strategies and feasible projects.
