Over 10,000 visitors from the hotel, restaurant, catering, café and food and beverage industry will gather next week from 19-21 September at the Diamond Island Exhibition Centre, Koh Pich for the CAMFOOD/HOTEL 18 exhibition.
Billed as the largest exhibition for the hospitality industry, over 300 international brands from 26 countries will be displayed including Pavilions from China, Hungary, Italy, France, USA, Malaysia, Taiwan, Thailand and Singapore.
Products on display range from mattress, kitchen equipment, hotel amenities, POS and hotel software, coffee machines and supplies, wines, liquor, beverages, meat and meat products, seafood, dairy and milk products, chocolates, nuts, sauces to bakery and food processing equipment.
“CAMFOOD/HOTEL 18 is a truly unique opportunity for the HORECA industry to source for new supplies, updated on new food concepts and solutions and new innovations – all in one place”, according to Andrew Siow, Director of AMB Tarsus Events Group which is the event organizer. “In addition, there are many business opportunity for importers to strike partnerships with the many overseas exhibitors who are here to look for agents in Cambodia”.
The highlight of the exhibition is the Cambodia Culinary and Hospitality Competitions where hundreds of competitors will show off their creative skills. The Competitions include Culinary, Barista, Bartender, Flower Arrangements, Bed Decorations, Bakery, Table Setting and Cake Decorations.
Hosted by the Cambodia Tourism Federation, Cambodia Hotel Association, Cambodia Chef Federation and the Cambodia Restaurant Association, the Competitions aim to improve the professionalism of the industry and upgrade skills to meet the growing demand of international travellers into the Kingdom.
Mr Luu Meng, President of the Cambodia Tourism Federation hope that through this event, the hospitality industry can strive to achieve standards on par with the rest of the world. “We are also looking to adopt new technologies and management systems to improve operating efficiencies.”
