The Health Ministry on Saturday warned all pharmacies, hospitals and other health service providers to immediately stop selling a China-made rabies vaccine over concerns it was not manufactured according to strict guidelines.
A ministry statement identified the Chinese company making and distributing the vaccine as Changchun Changsheng Life Sciences and said the product is distributed in Cambodia through K-Man Co Ltd.
The statement also warned that the ministry will crack down on those found importing or selling the vaccine in the Kingdom.
Heng Bun Keat, the director of the ministry’s drugs and food department, declined further comment on the matter, saying he was busy in a meeting. Hean Kimseat, his deputy, could not be reached for comment.
