Players and coaches from Visakha Football club, in cooperation with the Union of Youth Federations of Cambodia, organised and took part in a football charity event held in Battambang yesterday.
The program saw students and orphans – both boys and girls – receive football training and coaching from the clubs’ players and coaches. The event was also presided over by members of the Union of Youth Federation of Cambodia. Youngsters were also given sporting goods and equipment to aid their football development.
Club representatives thanked all those who took part and appreciated the warm welcome received by the club and its players.
After gaining promotion last year, Visakha play in the top tier of the Cambodian Football pyramid. They boast a slew of top talent including Cambodian national team regulars Keo Sokpheng and Keo Soksela. With 41 points, they sit third in the current C-League standings.
