Indian Foreign Minister to visit Cambodia

India’s Minister of External Affairs, Sushma Swaraj, will pay an official visit to Cambodia from August 28 to August 30

The Foreign Affairs Ministry released a statement to this effect on Friday, August 24.   The forthcoming official visit will further strengthen the traditional relations of friendship and close cooperation between Cambodia and India.

Ms Swaraj will pay courtesy calls on the president of the Senate, Say Chhum,  and to Prime Minister Hun Sen.

She will hold talks with Foreign Minister Prak Sokhonn on a wide range of issues concerning bilateral cooperation, and exchange views on regional and international matters of common interest.

Both countries will sign an agreement on the Conservation and Restoration of Preah Vihear Temple, a memorandum of understanding (MoU) on cooperation between both countries’ Health Ministries, and a MoU between the Cambodian Institute of Diplomacy and the Foreign Service Institute of India.

Ms Swaraj will also visit a number of ancient temples in Siem Reap province.
