Authorities have closed down a section of National Road 4 in Preah Sihanouk province because water is flowing across it, causing a hazard for motorists.
The Ministry of Water Resources and Meteorology announced on Saturday (Aug. 18) via its Facebook page that heavy rains are hitting the Kravanh Mountains, which are also known as the Cardamom Mountains.
This precipitation s reaching the flat land and has begun to flow across a stretch of National Road 4, aka Highway 4. The affected roadway is at Kilometre 106-107 in the Kampong Seila district of Preah Sihanouk province.
The ministry was necessitated to temporarily close the thoroughfare to traffic.
