Bus Accident Leaves One Dead

PHNOM PENH, Nov 5, (Khmer Times) – A man was killed instantly after his moto was rear-ended by a bus in front of the Ministry of Labour early this morning.

Phnom Penh resident Pat Sameth, a 26-year-old garment worker, was driving alone along Russian Boulevard when a bus lost control and ploughed into him from behind, causing “instant death”, according to a witness.
 
Police responded to the incident shortly after 5:30 am, but the bus driver had apparently already fled the scene. Both vehicles were confiscated and the police are searching for the missing bus driver.
