Khmer Beverages yesterday unveiled a one-year $25,000 sponsorship package to the Cambodia Cycling Federation. The announcement came yesterday at a press conference alongside representatives of the company at the headquarters of the National Olympic Committee of Cambodia (NOCC).
Vong Khanpao, General Secretary of the Cambodian Cycling Federation, said the budget package would support the federation to host better events. In addition, the funds will be used for training at home and abroad.
“Since the federation has received aids from the private sector, we have been pushing our players to become better and aid them in their development,” said Mr. Khanpao.
Mr. Khampao stated the federation were working towards developing athletes for the 2019 SEA Games. He also called on other Cambodian companies to contribute to the development of the Cycling In the kingdom in order to prepare for the Phnom Penh 2023 SEA Games.
Khmer Beverages is the manufacturer of Cambodia beer and has in recent years stepped up its sponsorship of Cambodian athletes and sporting federations. Earlier this year, it signed a package with Cambodia’s Tennis Federation ahead of their participation in the Davis Cup qualifiers.
