Prime Minister Hun has proposed a consultation forum between the government and political parties be formed in a bid to develop the country together.
Speaking to about 15,000 garment workers in Phnom Penh’s Sen Sok district today, Mr Hun Sen said that he will get a consultation forum formed between the government and 20 political parties in a move to help develop the country.
“Although there are few parties at the National Assembly, I want to form a consultation forum between the government and political parties contesting the election,” he said “This is a new forum for the 6th mandate.”
“It is an informal consultation forum which need inputs from political parties to help the government to develop the country. They can put forward their platforms,” Mr Hun Sen said.
He said that it was imperative for the society to be in harmony through a culture of dialogue between the ruling party and parties outside the government or parties outside the parliament.
Mr Hun Sen said he will write letters to invite all party presidents to meet before a new government is formed.
