Boeung Ket edge Visakha to stay top

Defending champions Boeung Ket maintain their position at the summit of the Metfone C-League after a 1-0 win over unfortunate Visakha in matchweek 17.

Boeung Ket’s goal came with seven minutes of Sunday’s game remaining – Hikaru Mizuno slamming home a Maycon Calijuri corner. Boeung Ket have 42 points and are a point clear of second-placed NagaWorld. Visakha meanwhile, sit third in the table on 38 points.

At the Siem Reap stadium, hosts Soltilo Angkor settled for a 2-2 draw with visiting Ministry of National Defense, while a 4-0 win for Phnom Penh Crown over Electricite du Cambodge helped the six-time champs move up to fifth in the standings.

On Saturday Preah Khan Reach Svay Rieng suffered a 6-1 home loss to Asia Europe United as NagaWorld secured a 3-0 win over Western Phnom Penh. Angkor Tiger hit three past National Police Commissary in a 3-1 win.
