FOUR FULLY-FUNDED PHILIPPINE SCHOLARSHIPS ON SCIENCE AND ENGINEERING

The Philippine Embassy informs the public of four (4) fully-funded scholarship grants from the Philippine government that are available to Cambodians who are interested in pursuing their master’s degree in science and engineering. The scholarship award covers tuition, monthly stipend, book allowance, group insurance, thesis grants, and a round trip air fare every academic year, in accordance with Philippine government regulations.

The programme is being implemented through the Department of Science and Technology of the Philippines (DOST), in partnership with the Philippine Embassy. This initiative is supported through the Philippines’ commitment to the ASEAN Science-Technology-Innovation (STI) Partnership Contributions pledged at the 9th Informal ASEAN Ministerial Meeting on Science and Technology (IAMMST-9) held in October 2016 in Cambodia to further enhance STI collaboration and capacity in ASEAN, particularly through the ASEAN-help-ASEAN scheme for Cambodia, Lao PDR and Myanmar.


UNIVERSITY OF CAMBODIA SCHOLARSHIPS

To promote human capital and education sector in Cambodia together with improving living conditions of Cambodian citizens, the University of Cambodia (UC) is now offering 3050 scholarships in both graduate and post-graduate programmes to all Cambodian students especially the fresh grade 12 graduates.


ZAMAN UNIVERSITY SCHOLARSHIPS

Students who passed high school national examination in 2018 and earlier can apply for scholarships to study at Zaman University by taking the scholarship examination which will take place on Saturday, 1st September 2018. Students who are interested in any major available at Zaman University are required to sit for the written exam.

SEAMEO-JAPAN ESD AWARD

SEAMEO-Japan Education for Sustainable Development (ESD) Award Programme is calling all public and private kindergarten/elementary/secondary/vocational and technical schools in 11 Southeast Asian countries to join a contest on the theme “Applying Local Wisdom for Environmental Conservation”. Competing schools are required to submit information about the programmes, projects and activities related to their environmental conservation, community engagement, and other criteria provided in detail in the attached link.


INTERNATIONAL YOUNG INNOVATORS SUMMIT

The young innovators from high schools and universities are invited to apply for the Summit in Japan hosted on October 8-11. The applicants have to submit an essay. 35 winners will be selected as official delegates to present their ideas to Japanese innovators and other young innovators.

The International Training Workshop on Big Earth Data for Disaster Risk Reduction (DRR) hosted on 30 October – 5 November in China is now accepting applications from young academicians and researchers as well as practitioners to strengthen the experience of Big Earth Data application for DRR, and the use of data in DRR application platform. They will be provided with a scientific and practical guide on DRR for Belt and Road.
