BEIJING (Xinhua) – Chinese and Malaysian police have jointly cracked a cross-border drug trafficking ring case, detaining 11 suspects and seizing 245.2 kg of crystal meth. According to the China National Narcotics Control Commission, based on intelligence reports in August, police in southwest China’s Yunnan Province found a trafficking ring along its border with Myanmar had smuggled drugs to Malaysia. Following the arrest of a suspect and seizure of 89.2 kg of meth, investigations led to the arrest of 10 Malaysian suspects and a further seizure of 156 kg of meth in July.
