Cambodia and the Philippines Promise Cooperation

PHNOM PENH, September 29, (Khmer Times) – Cambodian and Philippine high-ranking officials have committed to further develop their cooperation, especially regarding economics and terror prevention. 

“Cambodia and the Philippines will sign an MoU (Memorandum of Understanding) concerning five fields of activity:  terror prevention, business, agriculture, tourism, and culture,” said Keo Piseth, National Assembly spokesman.

The agreement was made during a meeting between the President of the National Assembly, Heng Samrin, and the Philippine Ambassador, Noe A. Wong, today. 

Mr. Keo Piseth added that in 2012, the governments of Cambodia and the Philippines signed an agreement concerning direct commercial flights between the two countries, as well as rice exports from Cambodia to the Philippines.
