In December 2013, Hong Kong-based financial group Chief launched its banking business in Phnom Penh.
After three years, operating as specialised bank, Chief has already established quite a number of loan cases, and valuable customers.
Chief received its commercial license lately in 2018, which is the 40th commercial bank to be approved by the National Bank of Cambodia.
Chief provides a full spectrum of listing products and other wealth management solutions. It has the largest branch network in Hong Kong and also operates in the prime cities of mainland China.
Chief is one of Cambodia’s foreign investors joining the ranks of Japan, Korea, Malaysia and other Chinese investors entering the banking sector.
The Hong Kong based Chief Bank also has a wide connection with China, from where many business opportunities are directed to Cambodia through the Belt and Road Initiative.
