“Food is an important part for attracting tourists and it is important to promote Cambodia’s local cuisine,” said the president of the Cambodia Association of Travel Agents, Lork Chum Teav Chhay Sivlin. On Saturday, at the second day of the Cambodia Association of Travel Agents fair at Diamond Island, Lork Chum Teav Chhay Sivlin noted that tourists tend to visit places again if the food is good. She suggested that all hotels, resorts and restaurants try to help promote Cambodian food to more foreigners, so that the taste of Khmer dishes would stay on their mind. International tourists are eager to visit Cambodia to have a fresh look at Cambodian cuisine. Besides, she added, Cambodian food is affordable, high quality and hygienic. Also at the fair were tourism companies.
