The capital’s Palace Gate and Resort Hotel has been chosen as the recipient of a Prix Villegiature award.

The establishment will receive the award for ‘Best interior design and architecture design in Asia’, which representatives will collect during a gala ceremony in October.

Founded in 2003, the Villegiature Awards gather a voting jury composed of 23 international press correspondents and journalists from reputed media outlets around the world, who recognise the best hotels in Europe, Asia, Africa and the Middle East.

“We are proud that we have won the award for Cambodia. It proves that Cambodians can do anything,” Thy Sothea, general manager of Palace Gate Hotel and Resort, said.

“It took a long time to receive this award. Judges came to our hotel to evaluate the facilities.

“We will continue to focus on offering the best service and comfort to our customers with a design that promotes our culture and traditions,” he added.

The Palace Gate Hotel and Resort is located adjacent to the Royal Palace in Phnom Penh.
