S.Korea adds 106,000 jobs in June

SEOUL (Xinhua) – South Korea’s economy added 106,000 jobs in June from a year earlier, with jobless rate standing at 3.7 percent in the month. The total number of those employed was 27,126,000 in June, up 106,000 from a year earlier, according to Statistics Korea. The number of those unemployed totalled 1,034,000 in June, down 26,000, or 2.5 percent, from a year earlier. Jobless rate shed 0.1 percentage point over the year to 3.7 percent in June. The unemployment rate for those aged 15-29 declined 1.4 percentage points to 9.0 percent.
