Cambodia Airways takes flight Air Operator Certificate awarded

Phnom Penh – Friday, July the 6th, 2018 – Cambodia Airways is proud to announce that it has received an Air Operator Certificate (AOC) from the State Secretariat of Civil Aviation of the Kingdom of Cambodia. The AOC certifies that a carrier has systems in place to guarantee safe and responsible air transport.

The first Cambodia Airways flight will leave Phnom Penh for Siem Reap, on Tuesday, July the 10th, 2018.

Operations will begin with the use of two Airbus A319 aircraft. Additional aircraft derived from the Airbus A320 family, will be added to the fleet in the coming years. Some 20 A320s are expected to be in service by 2023.

Daily flights between Phnom Penh and Sihanoukville will begin on July the 14th. As of July the 21st, Macau will be added to the list of destinations. Will follow, destinations in Korea, Japan, mainland China Hong Kong and Taiwan. Australia and Europe are in our sights as well.
