Experts from the Chemical Weapons Authority and the Organisation for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons (OPCW) ended their operations to inspect chemical bomb sites in Tbong Khmum province’s Memot district on Thursday.

Deputy commune chief Ha Thorn said there were two bombs in his commune.

He said the experts finished their operation there after collecting samples from the bomb sites.

However Mr Thorn did not know if the team would conduct more inspections in his area or move to other chemical bomb sites.

Yesterday the experts and working group were in Mondulkiri province where bombs had been discovered.

The working group started its operations to inspect the chemical bombs and began in Mondulkiri province, one of three different sites. The others are in Tbong Khmum and Svay Rieng provinces.
