The event was organised by Realestate.com.kh, a property portal and marketing agency, with support from the Ministry of Economy and Finance and the Cambodian Valuers and Estate Agents Association.

The ‘Regional Agency of the Year’ award went to the Siem Reap office of IPS Cambodia, while Knight Frank Cambodia was named best valuation company. CBRE, meanwhile, received awards for best property management company and best commercial agency. Other awards included ‘Real Estate Agency of the Year’, which was shared between CPL Cambodia and SEAPS Cambodia.

Individual awards were also handed out. IPS’s Chanthy Koy was named best up-and-coming agent, while Oknha Cheng Kheng of CPL Cambodia was honoured as the ‘Real Estate Agent of The Year’.

“The winners rightly deserve our recognition and accolades for pursuing excellence and setting an example for others to emulate,” said Sok Siphana, an economic adviser to the government who acted as head judge for the awards.

In total, 15 companies and individuals were recognised at the event. They were given a seal of the event, a trophy and a certificate of achievement.

Realestate.com.kh’s CEO, Thomas O’Sullivan, said, “The Cambodian real estate industry has experienced tremendous success in the last few years. Many hardworking and dedicated real estate agents have contributed to this success. It is imperative for us to recognise these people, and also the top-performing property agencies, for their achievements and contributions.”

“We sincerely hope that this undertaking, which also gave Realestate.com.kh the opportunity to give back to the industry, will lead to a new era of professionalism, competition and excellence in the Cambodia real estate industry,” he added.

Kim Heang, president of the Cambodian Valuers and Estate Agents Association, thanked Realestate.com.kh for being the main force behind the inaugural awards. He also stressed the importance of having similar events in the future.

“As I have said earlier, we need to have more of these events in the future to give value and reward the top performers in the Cambodia real estate industry, while promoting the industry and Cambodia to the outside world,” he said.
