Taxi, rickshaw drivers involved in Feb 20 community incident take COVID-19 tests

The Health Ministry has called on taxi and rickshaw drivers who have carried guests at 23 locations where the COVID-19 virus have been detected to have their samples tested at the Olympic Stadium this afternoon.

The call was made after the February 20 Community Incident jumped significantly from 32 to 47 to 78 as of today.

Today, Cambodia logged 35 new positive cases of COVID-19, of which 31 are locally transmitted and the rest are air passengers from abroad, according to the Ministry of Health.

The authorities have continued calling on those who visited the 23 locations between February 6 and 20 or those involved in the February 20 incident directly or indirectly to have their samples tested and go into quarantine for 14 days.

This afternoon, dozens of rickshaw drivers were seen coming to have their samples tested at the Olympic Stadium.
