The Ministry of Health today has approve two more COVID-19 vaccines, namely China’s Sinovac and UK’s AstraZeneca, for Emergency Use Authorisation.
The announcement was made by Mam Bunheng, Minister of Health, in two separate statement released by the Health Ministry this morning.
In the statements, Bunheng said that the government has given approval to these two vaccines because both of them have been used in vaccination programmes in the countries that produce them as well as several other countries.
“The EUA shall take in effect from the date of signature,” he said.
Also last week, the Cambodia government approved China’s Sinopharm vaccine, which are currently being used in the Kingdom’s vaccination programmes after 600,000 doses of this vaccine, the first batch of the one million doses promised to Cambodia by China, arrived in Cambodia on Sunday last week.
