China is slated to deliver 300,000 doses of Sinopharm vaccine to Cambodia in early February, according to an official.
Health Ministry spokeswoman Or Vandine told local media Sinopharm’s COVID-19 vaccine is 79.34 percent effective and it is being submitted to the World Health Organization (WHO) and it will be approved in the near future.
She said that Sinopharm’s more than 223 million doses are being used in a lot of countries around the world, including in Asia, the Middle East, Africa, Latin America and Europe.
Prime Minister Hun Sen announced last week he had accepted a donation of one million doses of the vaccine from China.
