Prime Minister Hun Sen has announced this morning that he will receive first the Sinopharm vaccine that the Chinese government will provide to Cambodia in order to build trust among the people.

He wanted the people to see and believe that the vaccine from China is safe to use which has been given to Chinese leaders since October last year.

“Today, in order to build trust in vaccines and promote the movement against COVID-19, I wish to announce that the vaccine that will be given for the first and first time to me. I must be in the front line, which is my normal habit for decades,” he said on a Facebook post.

On Friday, he informed the public that China will donate 1 million doses of vaccine to Cambodia which is free of a charge and on a voluntary basis.
