Prime Minister Hun Sen yesterday announced the birth of his youngest granddaughter on his Facebook page.
The proud grandfather who was delighted with the latest addition to the family said: “On January 03, 2021, My wife and I welcomed our youngest granddaughter.”
Mr Hun Sen who already has 22 grandchildren, 12 grandsons, and 10 granddaughters, said that the birth of his youngest granddaughter could be the last among all his grandchildren if his three sons and two daughters have no plans for more children.
The proud parents of the latest bundle of joy are Deputy National Police chief Lieutenant General Dy Vichea and Hun Mana who is the premier’s eldest of his two daughters.
“The arrival has brought immense joy to the entire family,” said Mr Hun Sen who shared in his posting that his grandsons can now form a football team, a volleyball team while his granddaughters can form either a volleyball team or other sports that don’t need more than 10 or 12 players.
The overjoyed Mr Hun Sen also hoped his grandchildren can set up a music band as some of them are musically inclined and played instruments.
Mr Hun Sen is the longest-serving head of government and one of the longest-serving Prime Minister in the world.
