Prime Minister Hun Sen has asked the Ministry of Education to cancel Grade 12 exams slated for next month, saying that the students should be evaluated for passing through previous semester exams.
The Ministry of Education set January 11 as a new date for the Grade 12 examinations after it was delayed due to the November 28 community incident.
Speaking to the nation via TVK national television today, Mr Hun Sen said the upcoming high school exams could not go ahead as scheduled due to the community outbreak.
“Let the ministry evaluate (the exams) through the results of the semester exams,” he said. “The students have not studied enough and we have to acknowledge the fact.”
