The European Union in Cambodia announced yesterday that it will donate around $3.45 million to Cambodia in order to respond to the COVID-19 pandemic.
According to an EU statement, it has allocated just under $25 million to support health systems in Asean.
It said that the EU is launching a new programme to support the health systems of eight of our partners in Asean.
It said that the South-East Asia Pandemic Response and Preparedness programme will be implemented by the World Health Organization (WHO). It will work closely with national authorities and the Asean Secretariat.
“The programme will be implemented by WHO Phnom Penh country office in cooperation with the Ministry of Health, to support the National Response Plan for COVID-19,” it said.
