The Indonesian Embassy in Phnom Penh, with financial support from Indonesian citizens in Cambodia as well as back home and a businessman linked with the country’s business community, has contributed 500 boxes of instant noodles to Cambodia’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs to support the country’s relief effort against the widespread floods.
Indonesian Ambassador Sudirman Haseng also expressed his profound sadness over the lives lost and the immense suffering being experienced by the flood victims and for the hundreds of thousands of hectares of farmland which have been inundated by floods, affecting 20 out of the country’s 25 provinces.
The ambassador also expressed his appreciation to the Cambodian authorities for having helped to successfully treat Indonesian COVID-19 victims who had tested positive in the Kingdom.
In addition, he said that Indonesia stood by Cambodia in its efforts to relieve the suffering of the people through timely food contributions to the Cambodian people through the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Cambodia.
