CDC approves two Investment projects of almost $5 million

Despite troubling times for the garment industry, new factories continue to open.

Council for the Development of Cambodia (CDC) this week approved two new investment projects with a total capital of $4.9 million in Phnom Penh capital city.

According to the council, the newly approved projects belong to Awtex Garment Co., Ltd. in Sambour village, Sangkat Dangkor, Khan Dangkor, and Hermo (Cambodia) Co., Ltd. in Chumrov village, Sangkat Kork Roka, Khan Prek Phnov.

The two investment projects cover the production of clothes and gloves, the CDC said, adding that they will create a total of 1,513 jobs for the locals. Phal Sophanith – AKP
