ACLEDA Bank and Sihanoukville Autonomous Port lead trading surge
The index recorded its highest trading volumes yesterday in 21 consecutive treading days, registering 463,573,250 riels ($113,223) in trading volume with 36,914 shares exchanged.
The rise was attributed to ACLEDA Bank (ABC) and Sihanoukville Autonomous Port (PAS) shares registering 253 million riels and 164 million riels in individual trading volumes respectively.
The high volumes also pushed ABC to rise 100 riels, closing at 17,400 riels and pushing the index to expand 0.36 percent to 662.71 points.
However, the day was not so good for Phnom Penh Autonomous Port (PPAP), which fell 180 riels to
close at 11,500 riels. Grand Twins International Cambodia (GTI) recorded no trades at all for the second consecutive trading day.
