ASEAN coronavirus updates as of Friday 7am, September 18 as global infections breach 30 million

The coronavirus COVID-19 is affecting 213 countries and territories around the world and 2 international conveyances.

 

Coronavirus Cases globally : 30,310,364   :  Deaths:  949,713  Recovered: 22,010,177

 

Here we provide updated information on cases in Asean, comprising  new cases, total cases, new deaths and total deaths. Two Asean countries have cases exceeding 200,000 and deaths exceeding 4,000 and 8,000.

 

Brunei

Brunei had 0 new cases, has a total of 145 with three deaths.

Cambodia

There has been 1 new positive case of the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) in Cambodia after almost two weeks of no new cases. The tally thus remains at 27%. No deaths. Total recovered at 274.

Indonesia

The country reported +3,635    new infections, taking the totals to  232,628   infections with +122 new deaths, bringing total to   9,222   deaths.

Laos

No new cases recorded, total at 22. No deaths.

Malaysia

The country reported +21 new cases, taking the total to                10,052    with no new death, total remains at   128.

Myanmar

Myanmar reported +222 new cases, taking total to 4,043   and +20 new deaths, total is at   60.

Philippines

The Philippines recorded   +3,375 new cases, bringing the totals to  276,289  cases,  with +53 new deaths, bringing total to  4,785 deaths.

Singapore

Reported +18  new cases, taking the total to  57,532 and 27 deaths.

Thailand

Reported 0 new case, total at  3,490 and 58 deaths.

Vietnam

Vietnam’s Ministry of Health had 3 new cases and a total of 1,066 cases of COVID-19, no new death, total remains at  35.
