In recent years, Wing has played an increasingly major role in facilitating transactions between Cambodia and Malaysia.

That focus, part of Wing’s mission of serving every user both locally and globally, continues to grow. That is because Wing services can open a world of possibilities and access to thousands of Cambodian migrant workers and their beneficiaries, as well as expats residing in the Kingdom.

In 2018, with an eye to helping Cambodian workers send home their hard-earned money, Wing launched its first inbound service from Malaysia.

Manu Rajan, CEO of Wing, said these workers abroad deserve the same prompt, safe service that has become a hallmark of Wing in the Kingdom.

“Everyone has been working hard every day, so it’s important that we make this process as easy as possible,” Manu said. “Families rely on this money; we want them to have instant access to it.”

In 2019, Wing launched outbound transfer services to any bank in Malaysia, opening availability both through its network of Wing Cash Xpress agents or the convenient and cutting-edge Wing Money App.

Wing launched outbound transfer to any bank in Malaysia last year.

Today, those in Malaysia can cash in and out through Wing partners such as Tranglo, Merchantrade Asia, Western Union, and MoneyGram.

Manu says Wing’s partner network has expanded the reach of the company’s services throughout globe, creating new options for Cambodians.

“When financial transactions can flow across borders in a manner that is secure, instant and convenient, it gives new freedom to our customers,” he said.

The response from Wing users in Cambodia and Malaysia has been overwhelmingly positive. From 2018 to 2019, transactions between the two countries have increased significantly.

For Wing, that’s not just a great step – it’s also proof of the demand and need for digital financial solutions that provide even greater ease of cash flow between these thriving Southeast Asian neighbors.

Wing is Cambodia’s leading mobile banking services provider and is one of the few specialized banks in the world. Established in 2009, Wing has transformed the way Cambodians send and receive money, using mobile phones for anytime-anywhere convenience.

The service was launched by Wing to help Cambodian workers send home their hard-earned money.

Wing remains at the forefront of the mobile money and electronic payment services market in Cambodia with 100% district coverage through our nationwide network of close to 8,000 Wing Cash Xpress outlets. It has partnerships with over 40,000 merchants, including both local vendors and global industry leaders such as Mastercard, MoneyGram, AliPay, WeChat Pay and Western Union.

Wing also provides funding and payment solutions to the corporate sector via Wing’s enterprise services. Small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) and larger companies can use Wing’s payroll and disbursement services for employees, helping to encourage the growth and spread of Wing’s payment ecosystem.
