The Cambodian embassy in Myanmar has announced the extension of travel restrictions to that country until the end of August to prevent the spread of COVID-19.

A statement from the embassy said Myanmar will continue to suspend the provision of visas on arrival, e-visas, social visit visas and visa exemption services for all travellers to that country.

However, travellers on official or urgent missions can contact the Myanmar Embassy to request special travel arrangements.

Meanwhile, the Embassy of Cambodia in Laos yesterday confirmed the Lao border has been reopened for international tourists, but under some strict conditions.

Companies, enterprises and ministries seeking to send personnel to Laos, have to apply to the Lao COVID-19 committee, stating the names, time of travel, transportation method, place of quarantine and country of transit.
