The Ministry of Health this morning reported that an American man was tested positive for COVID-19, bringing the total number to 234, with eight new recoveries.
In the statement, the ministry said that the patient was a US embassy staffer who flew from the United States and arrived in Phnom Penh on July 16. He tested positive for the virus on 13th day of his 14-day quarantine yesterday.
He has received medical treatment at the US embassy in Phnom Penh.
The statement said that seven Cambodian men and an American woman recovered yesterday after testing negative for COVID-19 twice.
Cambodia has a total of 234 COVID-19 cases. Of them, 162 have recovered.
