The two-way trade between Cambodia and Thailand rose by 5.6 percent in the first five months of this year to $3,472 billion, according to the statistics from Thailand’s Ministry of Commerce.
From January to May 2020, Cambodia exported $711 million worth of goods to Thailand, a year-on-year increase of 83.2 percent.
Meanwhile, Cambodia bought products worth of $2,761 million from Thailand, up 4.7 percent compared to the same period last year.
Agricultural products accounted for the majority of Cambodian exports to Thailand, while Thai exports to Cambodia primarily consisted of energy resources, agriculture fertilizer, food supplies, and cosmetics.
Last year, the trade exchange between the two countries grew by 12 percent to $9.4 billion. Chea Vannak – AKP
