UN, WB chiefs in B’desh on Rohingya crisis

DHAKA (Xinhua) – UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres, together with World Bank President Jim Yong Kim are here to assess the needs for the nearly one million Rohingya refugees driven from their homes in Myanmar. Their would highlight the “generosity” of Bangladesh in hosting the largest refugee influx of 2017 and the need for the international community to do more. In addition to meeting with Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina,they are also set to visit the Rohingya refugees living in the camps in the country’s Cox’s Bazar district.
