The Ministry of Water Resources and Meteorology (MOWRAM) has forecasted more rain, from moderate to heavy, to blanket Cambodia, from July 1 to 7.
In its new weather forecast released Tuesday, the ministry appealed to people, especially sea travellers and fishermen, to keep their vigilance for large waves and other possible phenomena such as thunder, lightning and gusts.
During the same period, the temperature would vary between 26 and 31 degrees Celsius for the central lowland areas, from 22 to 30 degrees Celsius for the mountainous areas in the north and northeast, and between 25 and 29 degrees Celsius in the coastal areas, the same source pointed out.
However, the rains thus far have not been sustained and consistent like previous years, thus hampering water levels along Cambodia’s main rivers. Phal Sophanith/AKP
