Stranded Cambodians in Malaysia arrive home today

A group of 158 Cambodians, who had been stranded in Malaysia due to the COVID-19 pandemic, arrived safely in Cambodia today on Malaysia Airlines Flight MH754.

The flight, organised with the cooperation of the Cambodian Embassy in Malaysia and Malaysia Airlines, was scheduled to land in Cambodia at 9:50 this morning, but due to unforeseen circumstances, it was delayed by two hours and landed around noon.

Two Malaysian officials accompanied the Cambodian nationals who were workers and students.

According to the Ministry of Health, the passengers will be tested for the coronavirus and placed under a 14-day quarantine in the capital before being allowed to return home, where they will have to self quarantine for another two weeks.
