Strengthening the government’s efforts in containing the spread of COVID-19 in Cambodia, NagaWorld’s corporate social responsibility (CSR) arm, NagaWorld Kind Hearts, has donated a total of 10,000 face masks, 1,000 bottles of hand sanitiser and 180 litres of sanitising alcohol to Phnom Penh City Hall.

NagaWorld’s Managing Director Mr. Pern Chen said, “In support of the Cambodian government’s efforts to combat the spread of COVID-19, corporations need to play a decisive role in helping end this pandemic where we can, and as quickly as we can. As a responsible corporate citizen, we hope that our donation of personal protective equipment to City Hall will help the civil servants, frontliners and local communities most in need.

“This is just one of the many initiatives that NagaWorld has carried out to give back to the community. With these supplies, more communities will be able to benefit and together, we will overcome this.”

Phnom Penh Governor H.E. Khuong Sreng greeted Mr. Pern Chen personally in front of City Hall to receive the donation. “NagaWorld has always been a supportive member of the corporate community, and this donation once again demonstrates their commitment to public welfare,” he said. “These supplies will assist City Hall as well as the government in our ongoing campaign against the spread of COVID-19 in Cambodia. On behalf of myself and my City Hall colleagues, public servants and officials, and our Phnom Penh fellow citizens, I would like to express our sincere gratitude for this charitable act.”

In addition to City Hall, NagaWorld Kind Hearts has also donated the same quantity of personal protective equipment to the Ministry of Education, Youth and Sport. This brings the total of NagaWorld’s contributions towards battling the COVID-19 pandemic to 20,000 face masks, 2,000 bottles of hand sanitiser and 360 litres of sanitising alcohol.
