The Health Ministry has issued a warning against the use of a weight-loss product, being advertised online, which could harm users health.
A ministry statement today named the product as Slim-Me and said it had not been registered as being safe to use.
It said the ministry recently uncovered a Facebook account under the name Tey Loner which is promoting Slim-Me.
Tey Loner posted that the product could help users to lose weight within a short time and using just one bottle would bring results.
The post promised that users could lose weight from two to five kilogrammes, without side effect, and there is no need to diet.
The statement said the most unregistered weight-loss products, advertised online, contains the chemical sibutramine which has been banned for medical use because it seriously affects health.
“Sibutramine puts users at high risk of getting heart attack and stroke,” it said.
