Unidentified drone crashes in Koh Kong province

A large drone crashed in the village of Smach, Koh Sdach commune, Kiri Sakor district, Koh Kong province last night, said Brigadier General Samkhit Vien.

B Gen Samkhit confirmed that the large unmanned Aerial Vehicle done with ID number 1701002, crashed into an open space, far from villagers’ households.

“Authorities are now investigating more about the source and the owner, but have thought that it could be from a private company doing research work,” he said. “We are still working on this case.”

Bri Gen Samkhit noted that the drone crashed near the Chinese-owned Union Development Group project of Dara Sakor.
