NagaWorld hosted a special reward ceremony to herald the remarkable success of the Cambodian contingent at the recently concluded 30th SEA Games. Held at NagaCity Walk, the event was attended by Minister of Tourism and President of the National Olympic Committee of Cambodia (NOCC) H.E. Dr. Thong Khon, NOCC officials, athletes and NagaWorld’s senior management.
As part of NagaWorld’s Go For Gold sponsorship agreement with the NOCC, gold medallists for individual categories are rewarded with cash prizes of $6,000 each while team category golds receive $10,000, doubling the contributions from previous SEA Games.
Among the recipients this year were Cambodian taekwondo superstar Sorn Seavmey in women’s +73kg; Jessa Khan for her triumph in women’s 49kg jiu-jitsu; Yong Mengly of men’s arnis and the petanque team of Sreng Sorakhim, Khuon Yary, Duong Dina and Un Sreya for winning women’s triples gold.
NagaWorld also honoured respective coaches with $1,000 rewards each as well as a contribution to the NOCC of $4,000 for the 4-gold haul in support of national sports development. NagaWorld had kitted out the entire Cambodian SEA Games delegation to the Philippines.

Come 2023, as Cambodia plays host to the 32nd SEA Games, we hope to see the efforts of our investment with the NOCC come to fruition, and showcase the sporting talent of Cambodia.”
NagaWorld Empowering Sports
NagaWorld is the longest corporate sector supporter of the NOCC, having been the first company to sign a sponsorship agreement to support the Cambodian contingent for the 2011 SEA Games in Indonesia and the 2012 Olympic Games in London. NagaWorld proceeded with a 4-year partnership agreement with the NOCC in 2015 to reward Cambodian athletes’ success at major international sporting events.
Earlier this year, NagaWorld’s agreement with the NOCC was extended for another 4 years to cover major sporting events including the 30th SEA Games and 10th ASEAN Para Games in the Philippines, the 31st SEA Games and 11th ASEAN Para Games in 2021 in Vietnam, the 2020 Summer Olympics and Paralympics in Tokyo, the 2020 Asian Beach Games in Sanya, the 2022 Asian Games in Hangzhou and the 2022 Summer Youth Olympics in Dakar.
As part of its nation-building initiatives through sports, NagaWorld continues to support development and profile raising of sports in Cambodia, including football, tennis, kickboxing, rugby and mixed martial arts among others. Its sponsorship has encouraged athlete participation at both regional and national level, leading the path to more success in the sports arena for the Kingdom.
