Miss Tourism Metropolitan International (MTMI) 2019 World Final, which took place at NABA Theatre @ NagaWorld2 on Saturday night, saw Lorrany C. Monteiro Guimaraes from Brazil take home the crown after a two-week-long beauty pageant.
The World Final featured delegates looking ravishing in dazzling outfits including national costume, traditional Khmer wear and evening gowns. Following the 3 rounds of colourful parades, the Top 5 was selected by a panel of esteemed international judges, with Miss Malaysia named as the 1st Runner-up, followed by 2nd Runner-up Miss USA, 3rd Runner-up Miss Portugal and finally, Miss Russia as the 4th Runner-up.
Additionally, eight subsidiary titles were also awarded which saw Miss Thailand win Best in Sportswear, Miss Malaysia clinching Miss Agape Wellness Beauty, Miss Cambodia as Miss Congeniality, Miss Bulgaria winning Miss Photogenic and Miss France named Miss Friendship.
Miss USA won the Best in Talent award while Miss Vietnam took home Best in the Evening Wear award. Miss Sri Lanka won Best in National Costume during the National Costume Competition, which was held at NagaWorld1 Lobby Stage on Dec 10.
For the second time as official hotel, having previously hosted in 2016, NagaWorld accommodated all 30 delegates for their entire stay from Nov 30 to Dec 16.
The pageant also marked its 13th edition this year. The competition was supported by Cambodia’s Ministry of Tourism and Ministry of Culture and Fine Arts, with NABA Theatre @ NagaWorld2 as the Official Venue of the World Final. Cambodian station BTV and Apsara TV broadcasted the World Final live and the prestigious event was also streamed to over 80 countries worldwide.
